Uptime monitoring

A valid certificate doesn't help if the site is down. Xpiry requests every monitored domain over HTTPS, records the status code and response time, and pages you the moment it stops answering — then tells you when it recovers.

How checks work

On each check, Xpiry sends an HTTP request to your domain and follows redirects to the final response. Every check records:

› HTTP status code
› Response time in milliseconds
› Timeouts & connection failures
› Server errors (4xx / 5xx count as down)

Alerts that don't flap

Confirmed

Every failure is double-checked. A failed probe is retried a few seconds later before anything fires — one dropped packet won't page you at 3am.

Critical

Down alert. Fired the moment an outage is confirmed — on every channel you've configured: email, Slack, Teams, Discord, PagerDuty, webhooks. While the site stays down, the alert re-fires every 30 minutes so an outage can't slip by unnoticed.

Acked

Acknowledge to silence. Working on it? Acknowledge the outage — PagerDuty-style — and re-alerts pause for 30 minutes to 24 hours, your choice. If the site is still down when the window expires, re-alerting resumes automatically.

Info

Recovery notification. When the site answers again you get a recovery message that includes how long it was down — even if the outage was acknowledged.
